TWO GREAT VALUE CAMERAS YOU CANNOT IGNORE
I attended The Photography Show - a huge exhibition (in the UK) of all things photographic.
There was much to see, but two cameras linger in my mind, and both happen to be from Fujifilm, these are the new X-T20 and the X100F.
The X-T20 can be thought of as a cut-down version of the X-T2, only it is nearly half the price (and adds touch control to the viewing screen); while the X100F has a great fixed lens and is a very stylish camera that yields extremely high quality images.
None of the differences between the X-T2 and the X-T20 affect image quality - so if your budget will not stretch to the X-T2 then take a serious look at the X-T20.
If you want a fine camera without the fuss of interchangeable lenses then you will struggle to do better
than the X-100F. If you are into street photography this is definitely the camera for you.
The current price (and I have not found them for less anywhere else) for each at Amazon is as follows:
- Nik ON ITS WAY OUT
Google recently announced they will no longer update the Nik Collection of photo editing apps or add any new features in the future. Nik users will need to find an alternative if they are not to be left behind.
See Software Reviews for an alternative.
Or, take the short route to:
- Affinity Photo for Windows is available now.
This is an incredible piece of software in terms of value for money.
If you read my Review of the capabilities of this software you will understand why I am saying this.
Serif have seen a huge demand for Affinity Photo on Mac - chosen by Apple as their best App of 2015, and named ‘Best Imaging Software’ 2016 by TIPA.
It is now the #1 selling photography app on the Mac App Store.

The cost is exactly the same as if you had gone to the merchant site directly.
The reviews and recommendations are as honest as I can make them. If you buy on the basis of that review or recommendation, then do not like the goods and you return them to the vendor I receive nothing -so there is no point in providing a good review of a duff product.
